I believe strongly in a rich and connected family life.  My mother, father, and three brothers are very dear to me.  They are all very warm, loving, and supportive.  I also have a large extended family, which consists of a step-mother, step-father and step-siblings. Both of my parents are remarried into very nurturing families.  I am lucky to have unconditional love that comes from my extended family.

My maternal grandmother and I have been very close my whole life.  We have something unique in our relationship in that we have the same birthday.  On my 16th birthday, we realized every eleven years we would have reversed ages; when I was 16 she was 61, when I was 27 she was 72, and most recently when I was 38 she was 83.  We look forward to the next milestone when I turn 49 and she turns 94.
